Batsman Danza Hyatt is questioning the decision by the new national selection committee to omit him from Jamaica's 14-man squad for this month's West Indies Cricket Board NAGICO Super50 tournament.
Hyatt, a regular member of the team since making his regional debut in 2004, was dropped due to below par showings in recent years, according to chairman of selectors, Wavell Hinds.
The selection committee is completed by Courtney Walsh, Cleveland Davidson, and Wayne Lewis, as well as head coach Junior Bennett, and new captain Chris Gayle.
"I was shocked when I heard the announcement and I was not included," said Hyatt.
