there must be something we can do..some small but positive action to..to get across to the wicb that it is time for a meritocracy in west indies cricket, based on a democratic functioning of the wicb that must be implemented at Factory Road?
it is time we begin to take action within the framework of the law to impress upon our officials that we can no longer tolerate their corruption and consequent failure of the cricket and that we will be using all our power to effect change in the way our game is run
this time we must try to ensure that our general interest and the best interest of our game is not defeated by the liars and propagandists in the employ of the corrupt cricket administration to put on the people another corrupt and wasteful choice as cricket captain in the utter failure of the incumbent Darren Sammy
capable and deserving Ramdin
even a simple letter to the wicb from the WICF would be an advance, a help. we should compile a communication addressed to he wicb and send it to them. we should make the letter public..send it on to other publications..the Fan Forun, Sissy, Cricinfo etc for greater exposure of our concern.
we should do so in a day or 2..not more...and forward it.
they are up to no good I warn allyuh. do not let the removal of kirk Edwards as bim limited overs skipper fool allyuh. even if he has been removed from the 4-day captaincy still watch out. Edwards is the logical outlier in wait
and if not Edwards it would be one of the Kierons..Pollard or Powell. Dwayne Bravo has an outside chance of the test leadership. but they have a main man in line and it is not Ramdin.

Mappippee,
You know the answer as fans cannot realistically have a say.
Let us hope there is some sensible disclosure to the public from the impending assessment of the tours.
I think the outcome of findings, what and how changes are made, its timeliness and how it is presented to the wider public will underpin Pybus' tenure.
I would think it unreasonable to have mass change.
The only change I expect is the Captaincy but, sadly, I think Gibson will cling on for dear life as he would not get this lucrative deal elsewhere.

YOU WANT RAMDIN TO BE CAPTAIN OF THE WEST INDIES ?

* Have him wear an afro---that might do the trick. ;D
* But seriously---Ramdin should avoid the captaincy like the plague.
* Give it to one of the Bravo boys.

why shud he avoid the captaincy?
he is west indian..on top of his game with bat and gloves, is the best leader we have. he should desire to crown his career by building up his country....
why is that a negative..show me how it can be a nagative?
dat is jess a negative perspective on your part Rev. the nig nogs make a mess why shud ramdin go in now in the mess.
di'ze how you think.
the nigs did nt make a mess. the west indian elites have made a mess. and there are Indos up in there too..part of the rotten elites who have made a mes. is ordinary black and brown and white and mixed west indians who have to clean it up. is always the ordinary people have to clean up the mess elites make.
Ramdin is the best man for he job. that is the only reason I want him for he job..because he is the best. I would fight for him on that basis..on the basis that he is west indian like everybody else and dat all selection must be made on merit.
that is why I want to fight..because all those principles writ large and applied to the nation raise all ship, solve every body's problem and makes a good life
what yuh want more than dat. its stupid to be as you come deh Rev..silly...and does no one any good

Mappippee,
Rasta, I am comfortable since I reverted as I try to lead a pious life although there is much room for improvement. However I have a framework for success now.
I do not approve of the situation and if 'I take it on' I would get stressed, bothered and harassed like you and start pulling my hair out, over something I cannot alter.
There is no process for us to have a say and we are not empowered to influence anything. Perhaps if we lived locally we could arrange some marches, get the media to stir up some interest so the wider public gets the message. In fact we may not have to do that as the negative views on the administration seems to be a majority view.
I can only anticipate what I think will happen given our years of experience dealing with the same old, during which I am sure we continue having the same conversations but nada changes.
I also think with a new man in you cannot expect wholesale changes and improvement overnight. We are aware of our respective views about RP so no need to go back there. Fact is as much as you protest, as is your right, he is in post so we need to let him get on with it. Look my team has been, and continues, to be disgraced and humiliated in Oz but i have the confidence that the matter will be reviewed in the normal and no idiotic decisions will be made.
I would go as far to say that depending on what agreement Sammy has had, that too may not change.
Brother that is the West Indies for you. I am there every year so most things just go over my head as it is not worthy of my stressing.
You will know I am a Ramdin supporter and if I said what Krish said, you would call me racist. Therein lies part of the story.
Ramdin's form, with the bat, in the last couple of years, has been good and he should do nothing to jeapordise that you know any slight failure and he would not be offered the Fletcheship opportunity, Walton would be in. In fact Walton is not a bad cricketer but happy the Thomas experiment is over for now....but a Fletchership may well go his way as well.
Do not get confused Mappippee we are on the same Hymn sheet here.
I bother about those things I can influence, not those I cannot. I have learnt to choose my battles and this is not one I or you can win.

Ramdin should avoid the captaincy and concentrate on his own cricket.
My sources told me that this is the reason Sarwan turned down the Guyana captaincy for the upcoming regionals .

all things being equal, Ramdin at 28 should not deny his country on silly, parochial basis. if he is fit to play and he is asked to lead his country he should accept..and he will accept I am confident
Ramdin is no pouting child like some I see here. if he ias a person who can do a lot to change the situation then that is what he should do
look here! west indies was as shitty in the 19-fifties before Fran Worrell took over and made things right. Ramdin would be in the tradition of great men and can make a great contribution too, write his name in history in his chosen profession
that is how I see Ramdin and the opportunity he would have were he asked to lead the west indies. Ramdin has pulled his game together, acts and behaves as a most responsible senior member of the side. he is the man for the moment, the man for the day.
if the wicb is serious they should have long see that fact. but if the trilpe skunt Crazier is reflecting the thinking of the wicb..and he usually does they have not see this fact.. or have seen.. and still want to appoint someone else
