Ravi Rampaul a bit of free advice that will make you mad but please take it in good faith because I like you as a cricketer and that is because you are more sensible than many others on the team
Check out a good dietitian to guide you on your meal intake.I know you might be big boned but you shed a good 20 pounds and still have your strength and stamina. In fact you will have more energy. Your weight is probably the cause for your frequent breakdown and carrying those extra pounds tire you faster. I guess you know all this but sometimes little things we do sometimes upset a plan.
Use toasted bread and cut down on white flour roti and white rice.Fried foods are no good for athletes so fried chicken is a no-no. Use steam chicken steam fish and stay away from pop and too many beers.
Young coconut water is a good drink substitute . Drink tea with no sugar or cream.Let your last meal be around 7.00pm if you could help it.Of course drink a lot of water and spend an hour or two in the gym on off days.
In 2 months time you will look like the 16 year old boy who was bowling down everything in sight

In 2 months Ravi would die.
Leff de man ...all he needs is 5-6 over spells .
Proper Coach is all that is needed .
Cricket is replete with guys in history bigger than Ravi ...

Fitness and weight is two different things. You might be big and still extremely fit, as is possible in Ravi's case. After all, if fitness was an issue, then he might have been playing village cricket only.

I would advise that Ravi go on a slim fast diet .
He is totally useless to the westindies with frequent injuries and should be dropped , unless he is placed on a strict diet and exercise plan

Prince,
Absolutely correct.
I am not aware of any specific issues with Ravi so I will not comment.
However the likes of Taylor, Gabriel and other seem to be of good weight yet they break down more often than not, so are they fit?
Johnson is used in short spells for Australia and he has neither weight issues nor fitness issues. That is because he is an impact bowler.
From what I have observed, Ravi takes early wickets and that is what you need. He also seems a thinking bowler who appears to work batsmen out and moves the ball in the air and off the pitch.
Not many fast bowlers bowl very long spells but can still be productive.
I would say Ravi and Kemar are the spearheads with two of the more talented youngsters. Shame Gabriel seems to brake down so often and he has done that from the start.
Cotterrell did not seem to have the stamina when he debuted but is a potential prospect.
There are quite a few good talented seamers but the Coaching, especially to move the ball, has to be spot on.
