While injuries have left West Indies' squad quite depleted on their ongoing tour of New Zealand, coach Ottis Gibson puts the poor results mostly down to second-string players not grabbing the opportunities given to them. West Indies, after leading the ODIs 1-0, slipped to 2-1 down with their 58-run loss in the Nelson ODI on Saturday. In this particular game, the fielders let the team down at the death and his batsmen were unnecessarily run-out, Gibson said, resulting in the defeat.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

their three senior-most players, from the squad for the first two ODIs of the five-match

series against Pakistan.......

Ernest Hilaire, the chief executive of the West Indies cricket Board, said :

"With a view to the stated goal of winning the 2015 Cricket World Cup,

in the 2011-2012 phase the Selection Committee will expose players to international cricket

who could potentially play a vital role in the 2015 Cricket World Cup campaign"

SerenaThis batting performance by the West Indies in the second innings blew me away. I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team.
