The second one-day international between New Zealand and West Indies was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain in Napier.
Light drizzle in the morning meant a delayed start at McLean Park, and that turned to heavier rain as the day wore on, forcing the umpires to call off proceedings.
The Windies secured a two-wicket win in a low-scoring series opener in Auckland on Boxing Day.
The third meeting in the five-match series is scheduled to take place in Queenstown on New Year's Day
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
