Yes ..'frenism' isn't working.....
Ali Cook needs to say ''your way isn't working ... you do it my way from now on"
Take a page outta Michael Clarke's book .... 'This is what we've gotta do ... and just do it" :
P.S. ... This should be on 'The PITCH'

Losing Trott was a great psychological blow to England which the Australians used to full advantage. Their top order, Cook and Pietersen, have been dormant and England's successes were built on great performances from both Cook and Trott.
Alastair Cook's captaincy has a long way to go. He does not put the screws on when they are in a position of advantage and his field setting is far too defensive. This is an area he I has to smart up tout suite.
Pietersen would be a great disappointment to his team and he should play the way he has always played tempered somewhat for the situation.

I agree with Andrew Strauss. Alastair Cook has to stop treating his team mates as close friends and impose himself on the team as their captain and show them that he is in authority and whatever he says they must obey.
These are incredibly hard circumstances for a captain let alone a young captain.
If his seniors are not performing, how is it that the juniors will perform. It is his way and not about them doing things their way. It is time for him to take a stand if he wants victory.
