Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain & TMSl summariser "It's the first time in the series that England have batted through a day, so that's a positive. Joe Root was excellent and showed composure and calmness. Kevin Pietersen played quite well, Michael Carberry was a little bit unfortunate, but Ian Bell will realise he's had a disaster after hitting a full toss from Steve Smith down mid-on's throat.
"We've seen lots of sledging with Broad and Johnson going at each other, but what's important is that England got blown away on the third day and there's no question that Australia will be going 2-0 up at some point tomorrow."
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

It seems like only yesterday when the English media and opinion makers were fawning over the English team and singing their praises saying stuff like Swan is the best off spinner , greatest ever test team and numerous other superlatives,
The South Africans and now the Aussies are now bringing them back to earth ,
England historically have always been a mediocre team and they are doomed to remain so .
There would be flashes of brilliance at home but it would never last except for a very short time

Well only just recently AUS were considered to be a team in 're-build mode' so one has to appreciate just how quickly they've done/doing it.... though I expect SA to school them.
Re lil Joe Root ....... great technique and excellent temperament and demeanour for a youngster !!! He really deserved a ton the way he played given the situation ...
Shame ..... he's all heart !!!
