OK Folks!
The subject is test wicketkeepers---and the focus is on how wicketkeepers have performed with the bat over the past 2 years.
HERE IS THE RANKING BY BATTING AVERAGE(Min 500 runs needed to qualify)
65.55---A.B deVilliers(SA)(1)
48.17---Mahandra Dhoni(IND)(2)
47.66---BJ Watling(NZ)(3)
46.75---Denesh Ramdin(WI)(4)
46.00---Mushfiqur Rahim(Ban)(5)
38.30---Matt Prior(Eng)(6)

THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE FOLKS

West Indian Denesh Ramdin has raised his batting over the last 2 years---check his average---46.75 over the last 2 years---yet you have his haters and detractors calling for him to be dropped and be replaced by whoever.

Good stats as usual, Rev. I borrowed your stats for a similar discussion at cc.com. Of course, I gave credit to my source!

Googs---that was the proper thing to do---posting a link to the Chairman's site when you borrow stats from one of the Chairman's disciples.
hahaha

* The haters have been silenced by Ramdin!
* Ramdin has scored 512 runs in his last 10 tests at an average of 51.20---2 100s, 3 50s
* Prior has scored 487 runs in his last 10 tests at an average of 37.46----1 100, 2 50s
* Ramdin's class as a batsman is now showing.

It's incredible how his achievements as batsman slipped by. Prolly because team sucks so much, I guess. Good reminder, Rev.
I think he should be a serious contender for captaincy for now, I mean I'd take anyone over Scammy, but hell.

OBSERVATION:
* Jacobs batting average is only 1.78 points higher than Ramdin
* Jacobs and Ramdin have the same number of 100s
* Ramdin needs 534 runs to surpass Jacobs---Jacobs played in 23 more innings.
Socafighter pointed out Ramdin has played against some weak opponents the past 2 years----that is true----Ramdin averaged 9.00 against #8 ranked NZ----but he averaged 40.75 against #3 England---and 35.00 against #2 India

RAMDIN HAS STRUGGLED MIGHTILY AGAINST NEW ZEALAND
Denesh Ramdin will be tested in the upcoming 3 test series against New Zealand.
CHECK THIS:
* At least Ramdin has never scored a duck against NZ.
* Ramdin's haters should be excited about the upcoming tour of NZ----they are desperately hoping for him to keep failing against New Zealand.
