India will play just three one-day internationals and two Tests, in Johannesburg and Durban, during a brief 28-day tour.
Uncertainty has surrounded the length of the tour following acrimony between the two countries' governing bodies after CSA appointed Haroon Lorgat as its chief executive.
Lorgat is reported to have had a difficult relationship with the all-powerful BCCI in his previous role as head of the International Cricket Council.
In announcing the reduced tour would go ahead last week, CSA agreed to reduce Lorgat's role with the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The fall-out of the reduced schedule means that Cape Town has not been handed a Test and will almost certainly not stage their traditional New Year's fixture.
While Cape Town is likely to play host when Australia play three Tests later in the winter, Nanzani confirmed plans were in place to bring another team in between time.
"After the completion of our two Test matches against India we will have a further three Tests against Australia," commented CSA president Chris Nanzani.
"This will allow all of our five premier Test match venues to host a five-day match.
"I would also like to assure all our stakeholders that we are working on plans to fill the gaps in our international itinerary for the 2013-14 season."
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

This is a Good Test of Da One and Kohli outside the dust bowl.
Hopefully they can adapt ...
