West Indies players felt privileged to have been invited for Sachin Tendulkar's farewell series but they would not give any inch to the veteran batsman and he will have to earn his runs, team operation manager Richie Richardson said on Tuesday.
"First of all we want to express our gratitude for inviting us to play a marquee Test series against India. The entire Caribbean team are elated to play the farewell series of Sachin," Richardson said, a day after their arrival here.
"Having said that, we want to make it clear that we have come here with a mission to win the series. We will try our best to stop him from scoring runs. We will not let him an inch. He has to earn every run," he added.
"Winning a series in the sub-continent is a big challenge for every team. It's a big opportunity for the youngsters."
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

I had a long chat with him at Old Trafford when the World Cup was held here, farcical game against Australia. He seemed a very nice chap and got Autographs of all the Windies team for my son as we were in the members enclosure.
Whether he is or not, all is equal....right?
It was another day when Vivian behaved like an oaf, shouting and swearing in front of a crowd.

" Sachim will earn every run", T he only ones that would be doing any earning are the windies cricket fraternity. They have already been paid off to allow him to make a century in his farewell match and all this bombastic talk by Richardson , Gayle and others in the windies camp is to throw the fans off the trail . Enlighten fans like me are Hip to the trick
