Pybus is not a familiar cricket name in these parts; his work as coach and development planner has been concentrated in Pakistan, briefly Bangladesh, and far more successfully, with provincial teams in South Africa where he was twice named Coach Of The Year. 

Pre-empting the inevitable question of why not a West Indian, WICB chief executive Michael Muirhead commented that Pybus “emerged after  a rigorous international recruitment process which saw  a diverse range of applicants both from the Caribbean  and internationally”. It was,  he said, “a major coup”.

What I know of Richard is he are, he will not suffer fools gladly, he will step back and assess, he is not a yes man as he has his vision based on the circumstances and he will work with people amongst others.

He has a strategic view, also understands the difficulties from a Coaching view point and will add value.

Apart from the President and CEO, who have an overview, the structure must allow for Cricketing development and strategy and having a Director of Cricket is, not only consistent with other Boards, necessary for accountability.

Richard has come at  a difficult time but he will have many suggestions. The only thing I fear is his arrival will save Gibson.

from what I find out so far abut Pie Bus is dat he is an ignorant arse who is as likely to cause chaos in the west indies as to make a positive contribution..50/50 or less

the Pie Mobile is a wasted employment..another pie in the sky piece of BS from the board.

di'ze one appraoch!  a man can also lead a crusade with priests and prayers.

there is also a choice of weapons..a 'grenidge' is only one possibility.  there are rifles, pistols and PC designed/made shooting possibilities

maybe you need more than just one 'grenidge' even though the modern 'grenidges' are powerful stuff.

yu shud walk with a handful..maybe a dozen in a box, make sure you get everything loose and easy to work with :-[ :-[

I think the issue is no governance at all.

Check the Wilkins report which was commissioned by the WICB only to be discarded.

It is excellent recommendations.
