For those born and raised in New York, this was never just about an NBA championship - it was about pride.
It was about our children seeing that dreams delayed are not dreams denied.
It was about resilience, patience, perseverance - and believing through decades of heartbreak that one day your moment will come.
In a city that moves fast and asks a lot of its people, this was a reminder that hard work, loyalty, and hope still matter.
For a brief moment, New Yorkers from every borough, every background and every generation came together - in living rooms and bars, on subway platforms, at work and on city streets - cheering for something bigger than themselves.
For me, it was sharing a onc in a generation moment with my son - a memory we’ll carry long after the final score is forgotten.
NY Knicks, thank you! 🧡💙 @nyknicks
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
