Former First Lady, Varshnie Singh was Wednesday robbed on D’urban Street, Wortmanville, she and police confirmed.

Singh declined to immediately discuss the ordeal that occurred around 11 AM. “I am counting my blessings.”

Police was still probing the incident and were not in a position to give details.

Unconfirmed information is that three men accosted Singh as she was stepping out of her car in the vicinity of the Assemblies of God Church.

Since ending her rocky unregistered union with then President Bharrat Jagdeo, Ms. Singh has been continuing her charitable work in the areas of children's health care and domestic violence
