India has not "moved to use Invermectin strongly".

India's Health Ministry approved dozens of drugs to fight covid on April 22nd. Invermectin was one of these. It was recommended for asymptomatic patients, and those with mild symptoms. We do not know how many Invermectin tablets were given out.

When studies began coming in showing that Invermectin has no effect on covid, and that the drug had been functioning as a placebo (it has no effect on the patients, and is only effective when toxic levels are administered), India stopped recommending the drug in the first week of June (amongst other drugs like Tocilizumab).

So Invermectin was recommended for only about 31 days in India.

Conspiracy sites will then claim that "Invermectin nevertheless caused covid cases to drop during those 31 days", but this is stupid. Invermectin is administered to people already WITH covid (and so would have no effect on lowering the national levels during those 31 days), we have no data on how many doctors administered it (and so the conspiracy claims are baseless), and any hypothetical positive impacts would not occur during those 31 days anyway, but occur weeks after (if the drug worked, we should see cases dropping AFTER 20 to 31 days, and yet India's stats showed the complete opposite; infection rates went up).

But of course conspiracy theorists don't care about nuance, complexity or facts.

I stand open prepared to be corrected or change at all times because there is so little reportage that can be trusted on all issues currently Covid worst of all!

a couple of weeks ago I saw the report on Indian moving back to Ivermectin and I reported basically what I saw. if you are right I stand corrected. if you are not I will find out because I am always looking but have not had the time to get back to India.

About the Citizens and the Governor; I see no crazy people there. as Citizens go they are par for the course, varied, different etc. but they are all agreed apparently that the vaccines are not to be trusted unless they are fully aware of what it will do to their bodies.

Please not that the American press/media, and just about everything from inside that country hold no credibility for me at all. They start guilty with me and must prove themselves innocent and credible.

Data were sourced from published peer-reviewed studies, manuscripts posted to preprint servers, expert meta-analyses, and numerous epidemiological analyses of regions with ivermectin distribution campaigns.

Therapeutic Advances:
A large majority of randomized and observational controlled trials of ivermectin are reporting repeated, large magnitude improvements in clinical outcomes. Numerous prophylaxis trials demonstrate that regular ivermectin use leads to large reductions in transmission. Multiple, large “natural experiments” occurred in regions that initiated “ivermectin distribution” campaigns followed by tight, reproducible, temporally associated decreases in case counts and case fatality rates compared with nearby regions without such campaigns.

Conclusions:
Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.
