The communist Chinese are not as poor as us in the West. We borrowed from communist China to prop up many western governments.

interesting statement from Watooka - I was watching a doc on North Korea re the death of Kim Jong Il and the statement was made...

my question is: if communism was so bad...why did the rest of the world want to get rid of it?

i dont really see anything wrong with the model itself.....

There is no true capitalism in the good old US of A  .  When america bails out the banks , GM and  Chrysler with TARP money instead of lettin them fail  as is required true capitalism, then what you have is socialism ie. government intervention in private enterprise
