i know guyanese families who have the most beautiful living and dining rooms with expensive furniture

but....they fix up and live in the basement :sad:

the upstairs is untouched

surprisingly.....some italians will also do this.

bc it cost alot in the first place and has to last for a very long time. only use when guests come over.

we only dwell in the family room, kitchen...the rest is when guests come over....we dont sit in the front room or use the main dining room cause we have big kitchen table to use everyday.
