The Office of the President is pleased to make the following announcements in relation to new appointments in the Government.
The following appointments are hereby made:
Capt. Gerald Gouveia – National Security Adviser to the President
Mr. Lennox Shuman – Advisor to the Minister of Public Works on Civil Aviation
Mr. Ralph Ramkarran – Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on Border Issues.

Finally, we find ourselves decidedly reluctant to take the media release’s word for it that the Prime Minister “was keen to note that the former APNU+AFC Administration neglected GPL and failed to invest into the power company although it is in urgent need of generators.” Why ever would the Prime Minister be “keen to note” the circumstances of our power supply system under ‘the former APNU+AFC administration” without the kind of contextualization that would obviously take account of preceding administrations on both sides of the political spectrum?...from Stabroek News. Just the kind of nonsense that the Irfan Ali government should cease and desist from.

Dr. Vincent Adams is the most qualified Guyanese to head the EPA. Dr. Jan Mangal is the most qualified Guyanese to head a local content advisory board. Irfan Ali vowed inclusiveness in his inauguration address. Less than a month into his presidency that promise is already a lie! Seems like he confused inclusiveness with 'jobs for the boys'.

I’ve never seen such a pace, such progress in such a short span of time in any previous Government.
Ali is set to blow all other previous administrations outta the water.
Anyone claiming he’s a puppet of some sort, now is forced to revise that ill advised position.
He on the job, gaze straight ahead, tackling the issues, mopping up, correcting all the gross squandering and mismanagements.
The PNC is out there burning Tires and inciting hate, trying to defend the indefensible - leading their followers further down a path of deceit and lies.
