India's capital Delhi has recorded its chilliest day in more than a century amid a severe cold wave

across the northern part of the country.

Thick fog blanketed the city on Monday as the maximum day temperature dropped to 9.4C, and pollution levels peaked.

It was the coldest day in Delhi since records began in 1901.

The previous low was 9.8C on 2 January 2013, according to meteorological officials.

Maximum day temperatures in large parts of the north dipped 10C below normal.

the cold can be nice..at bed time in particular: hug up tight and well covered up fuh warmth. break out the blankets and enjoy the chil. it could be very nice if you inside. now if you homeless.......

when it comes to pollution please stop! Indian is a jackarse country about which I am fed up hearing. deh have nuclear weapons but so what! deh still stuck up under white and jewish men arse smelling they farts and think its perfume..while electing men and political parties to power who cater to their biases and prejudices making dem feel they are best, most superior people in the world

but their stupidity is good fuh the rest of us. imagine if they were really smart. they would be all over all of us..there are so many of them. good!even better if they cause themself to be blown off the planet! radiation may be bad fuh a while : but hey! dat too dissipates

seriously! how can you do that to the people..pollute so badly?

and why would the Indian people permit that kind of thing?

I mean money is one thing but you have to live to enjoy it. you have to make a compromise between the amount of money and life..so you can live and enjoy some. the Indian ordinary folk should smarten up and start doing things right. make them clean up the pollution..there are ways to produce that are clean. its just greed that making them use old rotten technology in production that stinks up the place and shortens lives

and Indians like the rest of us should develop a love for truth, reality. that should force such as Modi and Janata into some form of sanity..crazy impse an' dem
