Police are insisting the result of a post mortem report will determine the cause of death of 42-year-old Ramesh Deoirana, a hire car driver whose lifeless body was discovered at a Hotel at Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast.
The Anna Regina hire car driver was rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital early yesterday morning after it was discovered in an unconscious state by one of the owners of the hotel.
According to information, Deoirana, a/k Will Eye, was seen some hours before in the company of a female companion. He had booked a room at the hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
When he was discovered the woman had left. The police later summoned an ambulance after first informing Deoirana’s wife, who accompanied him to the hospital. Deoirana died later. Some blue pills were also discovered at the scene.
Deoirana had recently returned to Guyana and was said to have undergone a heart bypass surgery.
Police are saying that they would be interested to engage the woman, who fled before Deoirana was discovered.
A source told Kaieteur News that the owners of the hotel have a video of the woman and can identify her.
