The opposition coalition A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) on Wednesday said it planned to push for a commission of inquiry into the December 6 police shooting of protesters on a peaceful march that the police deemed illegal.
The Guyana Police Force has already defended its decision to open fire on the estimated 500 persons Tuesday morning as they approached Hadfield Street and Louisa Row.

Actually, if the ppp were prudent they would have demanded an investigation. However they are playing directly into the hands of the pnc...and this will get ugly....seems like Don-deo is more inept than I thought.

I wondered who authorized the use of force? And why did they use rubber bullets? And the tear gas?
The police chief should expound on the choice of action taken by the police.
