Nah this is Guyana...and this is the police safe-guarding the rights of the innocent people. This same very peaceful crowd of over 500 can become unmanageable...so the police acted prudently by nipping an illegal protest in the bud. You can cry all you want...but when these people attack innocent citizens you are all silent. Do you remember what happened in the last election??? The fires on the road, the beatings, robbery in broad daylight, and sexual assaults??? Where you you all then????

Good Morning SCA .. the police acted prematurely and what's this about firing into a crowd? Did you see the pic of the man who got the shots? They were all in his back. What does that tell you.
I am all in agreement for the police keeping order but they went too far ... yeah, now I know what's gonna happen next here ....

Mes...I wasn't there I do not know if the police acted prematurely. All I know is that they attempted to disperse an illegal crowd of approximately 500 demonstrators. Now what are they suppose to do to control 500 people who refuse to disperse? Call Granger?

They did not have to shoot into the crowd ... They did not!! I wonder, what would you have said if it were the other way around. If it were the other way around, let's say the APNU had won the election (God forbid) and the indians (ppp supporters) went into the street to protest, and they got shot at ... what would you have said then?
Please try to be objective ....

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

you cannot be objective when you think along racial lines
and where is the president shouldn't he be speaking to the citizens
and try to bring calm
or is he awaiting a directive from jagdeo
