I would say that is a good thing for Guyana for now the rule will be one of consensus as opposed to the whim of the ppp decision making. The only problem with this is that you may have a dead-beat parliament who can't or won't agree on anything.

in my opinion, the gdf should be disbanded...I have never seen an under-utilized army like these rice eaters. They do not do anything to help the country...in other words they are parasitical to the Guyanese people.

It could be a good thing. Minority gov'ts are sometimes a wonderful way of keeping everything and everyone accountable. We've had minority govts here in Canada both at Federal and Provincial levels an they have always, in my opinion, been satisfactory.
But in Guyana it will most likely not work and here is why. There is no history/precedent of a minority gov't in Guyana and that alone will create a lot uncertainties which will no doubt lead to all concerned playing it safe. If the PNC doesn't like a particular bill, notwithstanding that it may benefit their constituents, they will no doubt block/veto on a perfunctory level to give the appearance to those same constituents of opposing this gov't and ergo 'holding the gov't accountable'. This minority gov't will be a lame duck one and I hope that the idiot Indians who voted AFC see and experience for themselves why it's important to vote for a gov't who will butter their bread best.
