The President has stated that the rumors spread to the security forces that there is currently a vacuum in power is absolutely false. The Constitution states that the current President is Head of State until that time when a new President is sworn in.  The President is also disappointed that GECOM did not release preliminary results which would have allayed much of the tension being experienced.
