MANHATTAN, N.Y. — One person is dead and four firefighters were injured after a blaze broke out in an apartment on the 50th floor of Trump Tower just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, the FDNY said.

Police said the occupant of the apartment, a 51-year-old man, was seriously injured and was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The four firefighters have non-life-threatening injuries, according to fire officials. No members of the Trump family were in the building.
