Russian punk protest group Pussy Riot says two of its members have gone missing after being "detained" by Russia's security agency in Crimea. In a post on social media, the band said two members—Olya Borisova and Sasha Sofeev—had "disappeared" after being detained by the FSB; the modern successor to the KGB. Alongside a photo of the two missing members, the band wrote: "Two Pussy Riot members are missing. Olya Borisova & Sasha Sofeev disappeared in Crimea yesterday. FSB detained them several times. Yesterday cops broke their phones and computers. We can not reach out to them. We don't know what has happened to them." A report on Radio Free Europe claims members of the band were in Crimea to protest in support of Ukrainian filmmaker Oleh Sentsov who was sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges of plotting terrorist acts in a trial condemned by the U.S. and the European Union.

The voice on the other end of the phone sounded strong, if not resigned to the grim fate that awaits him.
“I’ve lived a real good life,” said Bob Watson, the former Yankee general manager, who is battling kidney disease in Houston, “and I’m ready for whatever happens now.”
The man who was called “The Bull” because of his size (6-1, 210 in his playing days, much bigger when he was a GM and MLB exec) and his brute strength, spends 4½ hours three days a week on dialysis — a somber, drudging and now interminable chore that could have been rectified with a new kidney. But in the ultimate act of self-sacrifice, Bob Watson would not accept one.
“Both my kids offered to donate kidneys to me,” Watson said, “and I told them both the same thing: ‘I’ve had a good life and I don’t want to take a kidney from young people who really need them and still have their whole lives ahead of them.’ That would be very selfish on my part.”

It's been 15 years and both are leading normal lives with children
she would have been dead from kidney failure all now

North Korea has been shipping supplies to the Syrian government that could be used to make chemical weapons, according to a shocking new report Tuesday morning from experts at the United Nations. The investigators’ report—which was obtained by The New York Times—said the supplies include acid-resistant tiles, valves, and thermometers, and goes on to claim that North Korean missile technicians have also been seen working at weapons facilities inside Syria. The report comes amid news that a chemical-weapons watchdog is investigating attacks in the besieged eastern Ghouta region of Syria to determine the veracity of reports of the Assad government’s repeated use of chlorine bombs this month. According to the Times, the U.N. report details 40 shipments of prohibited missile parts and materials from North Korea to Syria between 2012 and 2017. The report warns that such illicit trade between North Korea and Syria could allow Syria to maintain its chemical-weapons arsenal while also providing North Korea with money to advance its nuclear-weapons program.

Pop star Madonna has called her son, David Banda, "the future president of Malawi" in a tweet praising the 12-year-old boy.
The US singer has six children, four of whom she adopted from Malawi.
Madonna has reportedly had a fractious relationship with authorities from the south-east African nation.
In 2013, Malawi accused Madonna of "bullying state officials", exaggerating her contribution to the country and demanding VIP treatment.
Madonna's manager accused Malawi's government of having a "grudge" against the singer's charity, Raising Malawi, which she founded in 2006, the same year she adopted David.

President Donald Trump and Boeing have struck a deal over the development of two new Air Force One planes at a price tag of $3.9 billion, the White House and Boeing said Tuesday, and the President has asked for the planes to be ready by 2021.
Trump met with Boeing executives last Tuesday in the White House to finalize the deal.
Two officials said the President asked for the new plane to be done by 2021, the beginning of what would be a second term, which is three years sooner than the original plan of 2024. The two 747s are in California now, an official said, and Boeing will be done upgrading the planes by then, but the Air Force testing requirements could take an additional three years.
"He wants to fly on that new plane," a person familiar with the meeting said.
