The DUTCH if my history lesson still remembered:
Built a Drainage system and a Sea Wall when they CONTROLLED Guiana.
The metal tubes that drain are all now rotted BUT the outline of a Circle still DRAIN.
that outline is NOT supported by any metal : just became a mud Hole.
and cave in under water weight !
These NEED a Retrofitting and introduction of Sump pumps in commercial buildings.
Engineering may be too complicated fo y'all to understand :-[

Even all the Sluices and Kokers the DUTCH built many moons ago are in a state of WRECK !
Guyana is doomed .
I say let the Sea wall BREAK to add to the neglected drainage FLOOD :
Atlantic Ocean POUR in and Drown everybaddy.
GT is below Sea Level

but that engineering is simpl..not complicated at all..sump pumps can be very useful indeed. I had a flooding problem in my house when I lived in the country and put in a sump and it solved the problem entirely

Good point : IF the DUTCH metal drums Housing is now all rotted, the Mud will collapse/ cave in ...
AND Drain watah will back up ...
