[color=rgb(102, 102, 102)]Another of our boxing stalwarts, former World Boxing Association welterweight champion, Andrew 'Sixheads' Lewis, has passed on to the great beyond following a t [/color][color=rgb(102, 102, 102)][/size]ragic accident on the East Bank thoroughfare earlier today.
Boxing has indeed lost a stalwart. I was awoken by a colleague who relayed the sad news and I thought that I was still dreaming.
regardless of what transpired afterwards, Andrew remains Guyana's first world champion and I so acknowledge even as I join with other members of the boxing community to convey heartfelt sympathy to all affected by his untimely death.
He will join his other departed colleagues, Andrew Murray, Donald Allison and Patrick Forde in Paradise. Sleep on Andrew--your work on earth is done--time to move on to higher plains!!! Andrew's pix will appear in a special tribute I plan to compile soon [/color]
