my argument is that Ramdin is a class batsman who at any time, especially at crisis times can step up and win a game for the west indie with his bat..or save one like he has done before.

I don't see Dowrich as capable of dat.  he may do so in time but he should not have had dat time at Ramdin's expense.

Dowrich has to make the runs he costs behind the wicket....and then some

forget that.  take the ducks and lows scores from newbies with potential, not from an old failure who has proved beyond doubt he cant score at the top.

I see you finally come to your senses on Leon.  Leon simply isnt good enuff no matter where he bats in the order.  he is lucky to get a few shots to play for the west indies.  good for him.  at  least he was there. 

he wud not have gotten that chance from me as selector.  I know already he is not good enuff.  I wud have gone elsewhere

Dowrich looks a much better test batsman than Ramdin to me, and he seems to have the intensity of Paint.

Ramdin should be kept for the ODI and T20 teams though. I'd even make him captain of the ODI team.

But I guess we'll have to wait and see. Dowrich could prove an utter failure.

What we mostly need is an opener for Paint (Guyana is grooming Hetmyer), a replacement for Samuels and someone to have a talk with Blackwood. We also need 2 more good fast bowlers in case Gabriel breaks down. Holder is taking wickets now as I type this, so will probably be given another lease of life.

The more I see Dowrich bat the more I think he's the best actual batsman on the team. I predict that one day he will be made a specialist batsman.
