But why do you even need these personnel? The board have acted like bullies for almost 3 decades. And they don't tell us what the WICB's profits and expenses and spending practises are. The English cricket board is under no obligation to even pay its shareholders. What are the WICB's obligations? Where does its money go?

The Minister of Sports in each West Indian country could easily be a member of a hypothetical, new West Indies Cricket board. They would receive no extra pay. Each year the chairman of this hypothetical board would be a Sports minister from another island. All profits would be owned and managed by this hypothetical new WICB, just as they are now, except the company would itself be owned by all the islands/countries.

Right now we have private organisation operating in secret in charge of what is essentially a large part of a region's culture.

similar to the old planter wicbc.  they were wealthy on their own and took nothing from the wicbc.

the sports ministers already being paid need to take nothing.  that is what i meant by secondment to the wicb... but I had in mind officials not elected members of various parliaments.

but at least the sports ministers would be elected by some section of the west indian people.  there might be some merit in that
