India's Test players are to receive $20,000 per Test

All sports have changed considerably in recent years and the days of players simply playing for the love of the game is just a fantasy now. Ask do sportsmen and women actually earn the money that they are being paid, and I think it's easy to say no and especially when we have people performing life saving operations on a fraction of that salary.

I'm not saying that cricket players will ever be in the same earning bracket as English premier league footballers, Baseball or NFL stars, but it's heading in that direction and once the ball as started rolling like it has, it's going to be hard now to stop.
