When losing the toss and being put into bat, Chanderpaul averaged 61.03, almost 13 runs better than his closest countryman (RB Richardson averaged 48.51), and he did so over 14 more innings.

Based on weighted averages, this is the third best average all time with only Border and Kallis posting higher averages when being asked to bat first.
