There's a reason slow pokes like Cook, Chanders and Kallis have the highest non asian averages in asia. You need patience, grit and to play spin late and with soft hands. Hopefully Paint thrives in these conditions.

But McCullum is a Sehwag-styled blaster. Why'd he do well in UAE? Maybe going insane and hard works too. Maybe subcontinent conditions favours extreme approaches to batting.

31-38? True but when on song he was great to watch. He had a terrible weakness outside off to the rising ball, frequently inside edging onto his stumps.

I genuinely though he was going to be a real great averaging close to 60 but alas he did good anyway.

When I first saw Sarwan, I thought he would end up as a West Indian great like Lara and Viv.  Unfortunately, West Indian handlers have no clue in helping players harness their talents. 

I wish Mr. Sarwan well and hope he enjoys much success in his endeavors.

Totally agreed but part of it is down to the player and his mental toughness.
