For better or worse, I think his time in the Test side has come and gone. Although 31 is not old, it would appear that the selectors are looking to bred in some youth. The fact that Fudadin has averaged 20.15 in First-Class cricket since 2015 doesn't help matters either.
IMO, Cheesy Singh is more deserving of a call up. Although I have been banging this drum for the better part of the last year.

True but the same could be said about a few others so in the arena of paucity he is one of the better ones of abad bunch.
Personally I would select Chandrika and give him 25 tests.

Speaking of worst Test batsman... Since 2015, Chandrika (14.00) has the lowest Test average of any batsman that has come to the crease at least 10 times. His average for Guyana over this same period in 12 innings is 30.91. He has a career first-class average under 25 and just 1 century in 84 innings.
