Since 2000, teams batting last at QPO have won 4, lost 5, drawn 2. Overall batting average in 4th inns since 2000 is 26.69. 3rd innings batting average over this same period is 27.41. So there has been very little advantage to bowling last.

Umpires Rod Tucker and Nigel Llong have just finished an inspection.

They're unhappy with the drying process.

"Infield is extremely soft, which isn't a good sign," Tucker says.

The next inspection will be at 1.00pm.

Players are at the hotel.
