I am disappointed with this as players, especially openers, should get a good run especially after not really being out.

They have just come through a fantastic test and the only person who should be dropped is Samuels and possibly Bishoo.

The problem is that the selectors chop and change far too much but given the replacement they could have done worse.

Hope is a promising player so Chandrika has said goodbye from the West Indies forever. Same sort of thing happened with Fudas who showed similar promise.

Spinks should have replaced Samuels.

My best guess is that Leon Johnson will replace Chandrika for the third Test and open the batting with Paint. I think it is likely that Hope's inclusion will be similar to that of Alzarri Joseph, who was drafted into the squad for the second Test, but Cummins - already a member of the squad for the first Test - was given the nod.

One thing that stands out to me is the current lack of great openers in recent years. Of all openers that have debuted since 2010, David Warner, Chris Rogers, Shikhar Dhawan, Tom Latham, Ahmed Shehzad and Joe Burns are the only six to have scored 500+ runs with an average above 40.
