50 to Ballance. Well played. He may be unorthodox, and it isn't always pretty to watch, but as the old adage goes, "it's not how you look scoring the runs, its how many runs you score".

Every time England get some momentum going, they lose a wicket. Ballance again departs off a Yasir Shah delivery around the wicket. Much like at Lords, he ends up too far across outside off stump and ends up glancing one in to the waiting gloves of Sarfraz down the legside.

Woakes gets a good'un, and England are in danger of being bowled out inside the first day of play. 244/7. Can Moeen smack a few runs and get England up as close to 300 as possible? We all know Broad isn't likely to hang around for long.

Moeen doesn't look totally convinced and asks for a review.

Amir strikes immediately with the new ball. Poor shot from Broad and he knew it. Had some very strong words for himself. Fantastic catch though in the slips. That was travelling at a rate of knots. England 276/8. It's all up to Mo now to have a thrash out.

Mo nicks off. A useful 63, but would have hoped he could have tacked on a few more. Misbah's decision to bowl will almost surely result in him bowling England out inside the first day of play. He will be thrilled with that. England 278/9.
