wat it proves Googs is dat Timur was not as good not as allyuh imagine only in allyuh dreams!  Timur wud have been a star today but not when we had the batting we had back in the day.

where allyuh have a better case is with Timur's father Edwin..who was a great left arm spinner...and who with Gibbs would have subsumed the cricket world under their spin fingers.  deh would have held and twirled the batsmen of the world to hell..the one the perfect foil for the other.

dat is what west indies lost with the Mohammed family.  we lost with Edwin, not with Timur. west indies preferred a quick like Lester King when they did not go with Sobers as the second spinner.

had deh picked Edwin, Sobers wud not have had to bowl as much as he did.  he could have focused as the third quick alone and he would have been even more devastating for dat reason

So, the Tallawahs just beat the Tridents. I haven't watched the match yet; will catch the highlights later.

Judging from the scorecard, Pooran was once again excellent: 51 runs at a strike rate of 200+. Again, he was only out due to a run out.

Nobody else on his team did anything of note. ABDV is on his way back to South Africa, and so didn't play, leaving the Trident's massively outgunned.

Interestingly, none of the big guns fired for the Tallawah's either; Gayle and Russell failed. It was Walton - who has done nothing of note in this tournament so far - who got them to a good score (he made 97 runs), and of course the always reliable Sanga (50).

Also, Duckworth Lewis came into effect. Tridents had only 18 overs to bat and a target which was higher (?) than what the Tallawah's posted.
