A good spell go them before lunch has England on the backfoot at 74/3.

Worryingly, that makes it four dismissals by spin this series from Hales which is a concern given the upcoming tours of Bangladesh and India.

Surely that has to be the end for Compton. He needs to be put of his misery for his own sake. Tough to watch.

Could have done without losing Cook on the stroke of Tea. Bairstow's incredible run of form continues. Need Mo and the rest of the tail to contribute to get England up to a decent total on what has looked a very good pitch to bat on.
