I was surprised to learn that Axar's was the 14th hat-trick in IPL history. That is a lot more than I would have expected given the nascent history of the IPL. For comparison, there have been 25 ODI hat-ricks and just four instances in T20I's.

Russell really has been in some rich vein of form. Another brilliant all round performance. 

With 6 over to go, I thought that was going to be too much for KKR to chase down. Pathan with a stunning innings. Brilliant to watch.

It was nice to hear Sammy's dulcet tones in the commentary box with Pommie and Ramiz Raja during the Kolkata Knight Riders/Kings XI match. Soft spoken as ever and judging by his Twitter feed, he enjoyed every minute of it. I recall him commentating during the CPL last year after he fractured his hand. Maybe that is where his future lies someday.
