Perhaps Zimbabwe Cricket were reading our conversation as it was announced this morning that the lone Test match between Zimbabwe and India has been cancelled in favour of three T20s.

I am at a loss for words at just how good Kohli the T20 batsman is. Incredible run of form. Remarkable.

As I am at a loss for words to describe Kohli's T20 dominance, I will let his numbers this year speak for themselves:

20 innings, 1166 runs, 106 average with a strike-rate of 141.84. Oh, and he has 2 centuries and 11 fifties in this time span. In those 20 innings, he has failed to reach 20 only twice. He is simply playing on a different wicket and seeing the ball like a beach ball.

Virat Kohli's aggression is a lot like Viv Richards, except that Richards played with more arrogance.  He created fear in bowlers just by walking into the wicket.

That makes three centuries now in the tournament. Unreal. A shame he was out second-to-last ball as that slightly ruins his overall figures in T20 cricket now this year, which now stands at 1302 runs in 23 innings at an average of 93.

His numbers in this years IPL: 677 runs in 11 innings with an average of 75.22 and a strike-rate of 148. He has 7 scores of 50+ in those 11 innings with 3 centuries and 4 fifties.
