That was a mighty, mighty blow. Guptill is in some kind of form right now. How good has he been? Over the last 12-months, no batsman has scored more runs in ODI's, and his average of 65.08 is fifth best - behind only Sangakkara (108.20), ABdV (73.23), Brendan Taylor (72.16) and du Plessis (66.76).

Australia were totally blown away by this New Zealand side. They got a good score on board although I feel they could have got much more. Martin Guptill is terrific form and I feel he will be a force to reckon with in the upcoming World T20. While Australia seem to have forgotten how to bat on pitches which are not roads with true bounce. The slightest amount of movement is enough to topple them. Cricket Australia may be making a lot of money by having such flat pitches, but in the long run Australia may go down the India way: only suited to bat on the flat tracks at home while being woeful away.
