Relegation is not the answer and in fact will certainly serve to destroy Test Cricket from an economic and developmental perspectives.

The answer lies with the WICB being run as a transparent streamlined Organisation, with accountabilities, within a robust governance framework.

While that might be the case and I agree to a certain extent that relegation isn't the answer, at the same time there's no chance that the board are going to do what a best and what's right for west Indies cricket.

Maybe relegation is the short, sharp, shock they'll need to sort things out once and for all?

Is there enough evidence to suggest that Scotland and Ireland would draw enough fans to make playing Test cricket a profitable venture? Compounding matters even further is the fact that fans will not have the opportunity to see the games best very best players. From an economic standpoint, a second tier would be hard to implement, I think.

West Indies will be Top Dog in  Tier 2 ( I hope )


The last place team in Tier 1 gets relegated


and W.I get promoted from Tier 2

My concern is that there are currently only a few Test series that draw respectable crowds. How many people will be in the stands to watch Scotland vs Zimbabwe?

West Indies have a hard time getting fans in the stadium to watch England and Australia, I dread to think what the attendances would be against these second tier sides.

That is a very interesting question. What draws a bigger crowd - playing against the world's best players but being noncompetitive and losing every Test or beating up on no name second tier teams?
