Piedt to Vijay, OUT, gone! Again that line wide of off stump, and it isn't full enough for the drive. A bit of drift away from Vijay, who ends up playing inside the line of an offbreak and gets an outside edge to slip

I was happy to see Kyle.Abbott in the wickets.for.South Africa. He was brilliant for Hampshire two seasons ago and still disappointed that they opted to bring in Jackson Bird ahead of him last year.

This series has given South Africa aa chance to bring in some youngsters and fringe players which will bode well for their future.

Amazing that Abbott and Piedt, who weren't first choice players for the rest of the series, took all the wickets to fall on day one. This is only Piedt's second test and he's had a big impact in both. If he hadn't got injured shortly after making his test début he might have been a regular in the team by now. He could have had a fifth wicket too if Amla had taken all his catches, and the team be in a much better position too.

Amla has been such a solid performer for so long and it's really sad to see him struggling. I'm starting to wonder if the captaincy is taking its toll on his personal performance.

Gina, who do you think ends up opening the batting for South Africa against England?

To be honest, I have no idea. I think the selectors may need to look beyond the current squad to fill a few slots and I haven't been keeping up with domestic cricket.

The selectors' job isn't being helped by the fact that most of the domestic action at the moment is T20. That makes it rather tough to tell which potential test players are in form.

Cricket, I thought that was a typo, Ketch and meant to say 10 wickets remaining. South Africa will be glad to get out of India. Thankfully for them, they won't see any top quality spinners in the England side.

Thanks, Gina. Personally, I think this series is just a mere blip on the radar and a combination of playing in India on pitches that are turning square on day one and not playing much Test cricket this year. From an outsiders perspective, it would appear that the opening pair is South Africa's main area of concern.

I can't see England getting much out of the upcoming series - they have far more questions marks in their side - especially their own batting.
