3rd ODI: England v Pakistan at Sharjah

I was really impressed with Isa Guha on commentary during the CPL. She was a wonderful addition to the broadcast.

Shocking umpiring at the end here. Wahab given out lbw in back-to-back deliveries. He immediately calls for a review both times. First time the ball clearly took a big inside edge and the second one showed the ball clearly missing the leg stump.

It's all moot now as Irfan is bowled two balls later. Still, those were some very handy runs at the end for Pakistan. England need 209 to win.

This was a very satisfying win for an emerging England team. After losing Roy and Root very early on and then Hales and Morgan in quick succession after rebuilding the innings, England were ripe for a Pakistan-like collapse. The ball was turning sideways and the crowd was loud and vocal, yet Buttler and Taylor stood firm and took the attack back to Pakistan. It was great to see Buttler back to his attacking ways. Sure, he looked a little at sea at the start of his innings, but he quickly realiased that trying to be defensive on that pitch wasn't going to work and so he pulled out the reverse sweep to great effect.

James Taylor was a deserving Man of the Match. He may very well be England's best player of spin. It is slightly frustrating to think that he has been sat on the sidelines for the last 18-months with the likes of Bell and Ballance being given chance after chance and failing desperately.

On the plus side, England have guaranteed themselves at least a draw in the series. On the downside, I still do not like the notion of a four-game series.
