well Sobers might have a point but it is not only the players who are money first..it is the admin as well. 

Sobers is too one sided.  there was a lot of crap he took and would take back in the day that people will not put up with currently..and why shud they ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused::

if Skameron pays the HC 300k USD per year, what the hell does he pay himself as chair ::confused::

that is the question.  an HC is a lower official than a president and CEO.  by bureaucratic pecking order rights these must be paid more.  so what is Skamerons pay..and how does it compare to what the players get ::confused:: ::confused::

the impression I have is that collectively the players are paid less than the total chairman's salary every year..his salary alone!

and if Sobers came up with an attitude that says he must eat that crap and go on,  the players currently will not. there is no reason to take that nonsense. if they cant get a fair deal they fight back to try to get one.. and or move on to what they see as greener pastures.

they have that right.  they have one life and very finite careers to make living that sets them up for life.  the wicb is using them to set up a great life for the members of its bureaucracy instead. 

that is pure naked and vast exploitation, akin to slavery.  slaves fought slavery for centuries.  people are constantly fighting such exploitation.  if Sobers took that, that was his way of dealing with exploitation.  who in their right minds would extrapolate that as ideal for all to follow, and for all time in the face of exploitation...a slave master who exploits that's who..or ordinary, exploited fools who don't know better >

and remember that Sobers is in fact a kind of white heart, system loving simpleton, who saw absolutely nothing wrong in going to Rhodesia to take Rand and hob knob with Ian Smith. so much for his purported committed west indian heart...he compromised himself for money too..money of the worst sort..bloody money spattered with the blood of his own people

Pollard, Big Bravo, Russell, Gayle etc.,  take no blood money.  they accepted legit offers from legit teams to play a truncated form of the game that has much public support globally. and what is most telling is that from those very contracts the wicb itself makes a whole lot of money..money that it loves and encourages the employ of west indian players in the T20 leagues with a hidden hand while bad mouthing it for the world to see. 

a couple of millions for sure comes to the wicb from the participation of west indian players in global T20's that the wicb does not refuse...which they should given the opinion of such as Sobers.
