Fidel Edwards is imploding at the end here for Hampshire. 19 runs from his last over. It's not looking good. Gloucestershire need 32 more runs to win with 5 wickets in hand and 24 balls remaining.
Edit: And back-to-back sixes, followed by a four off Yasir Arafat should just about do it. Gloucester have scored 40 runs from the last 14 balls.

Sadly, not Fidel's best day in a Hampshire uniform. Oh well, they have another big match at the weekend, the semi-final (and hopefully final) of the T20 Blast.

Well I want South Africa to win as usual and they didn't disappoint at all. Great bowling to restrict New Zealand for less than 250 runs and a good victory margin of 60+ runs.

Infact Tahir's googly did the trick. They were comfortable at 102-1,poised for a victory and for 54 runs in 11 overs they lost 5 crucial wickets.
bracewell wheeler,or Munro just can't take 130 runs in 15 overs.
Good bowling by South africans,Perfect timing and wicket taking.

It will be interesting to follow this over the next 12 months. I suspect it will be very touch and go as to whether Kohli can indeed eclipse de Villier's newly crowned record. Kohli is still 1414 runs away from the 8000 run mark. He would need to score these runs in 28 innings or less - which equates to an average of 50.5 - just marginally lower than his career average (50.66). However, over his last 27 innings, his average is 43.27, so he would need to show significant improvements over the previous 12 months to beat AB's record.

Working out the math real quick,he might need a couple, lets say 4 un beaten hundreds, and 6-7 50 + scores, and the rest in mediocre 20-30's.He can get there with relative ease.
That was just an approx figure, might actually vary.

Relative ease? Averaging 50+ over 27 innings is pretty tough to do. Over the last 2 years, of all batsman to have batted at least 27 times, only 9 have averaged over 50. It would be a little fool hardy to overlook Kohli's average over his last 27 games. Those numbers are incredibly meaningful. The runs he scored over his last 27 innings are far more meaningful (and predictive) than the runs he scored in his first 27 innings of his career. As with weighted averages, current data points are more relevant than data points in the distant past
As to projecting Kohli to score 4 unbeaten hundreds, for his career, Kohli has just 8 unbeaten centuries in 153 innings. Expecting him to score 4 unbeaten centuries in 27 innings is
really, really, really unlikely. Over his last 27 innings, Kohli has scored 3 centuries, of which only one was unbeaten. He has just 3 other scores of 50+.
To put this into context as to how unlikely it is that Kohli scores 4 unbeaten centuries in his next 27 innings, over the last 3 years, Kohli (71 matches) and de Villiers (62 matches) have scored 3 unbeaten centuries each.
Kohli's last 27 innings sorted from high to low can be seen below.

Dude,i only calculated it roughly,a mental math.
I never really said these were correct. Was wrong on the unbeaten centuries part, but rest were just approx numbers, just to give a quick limelight of what is needed and indirectly to bring you on to the post, with correct stats..LOL ::LOL:: ::LOL::
Either way,now we know what really is required

Thanks to you buddy
