This innings of Brendon McCullum will rank as one of the best innings in the history of Test Cricket, solely due to the circumstances in which he produced it. When he walked out to bat, the score was about a hundred runs for a loss of five wickets and New Zealand were still 200 runs away to save an innings' defeat. It started as a mission to try to bat out the session and then it was an effort to make india bat again, but instead he has almost played a match saving innings and has put his country in the driving seat to win this test series. It is to be noted that luck was on his side, having been dropped twice quite early in his innings but still its an innings to marvel. A special mention has to be made of Watling who supported McCullum superbly in this effort.

Khan to McCullum, FOUR, That's the triple hundred! Wellington erupts!
McCullum raises his bat, for the first time he looks satisfied while celebrating his achievement.
He knows his team is safe and indulges just a little bit and boy has he earned it.
The game comes to a stand-still as they take in this effort

One of the best knocks in recent times. Brilliant BMac, to fight all your attacking instincts, dig in and then score gem of a triple here, that too coming from a 200 last match. Whaddaplaya.
