how about 600 and 1 to make by declaration, half lunch tomorrow mail  ::confused::

YOU STILL THINK sMITH DID NOT MAKE  A MISTAKE BY SENDING THEM IN ::confused::

and if I can stay here and see dat half a world away, why could not that very experienced test cricketer Graeme Smith..ON THE SPOT. ::confused::

the way the Oz are playing these days they need no help.  my approach would be to recognize that and triop them up all along the way, disturb their flow, not help them at all.

but Smith is a silly fellow.  the power of SA in their own flows for some time now and the relative weakness of most teams currently may have convinced that bounder that SA is god.  but just like Kallis got old so things change all the time so it is crucial you monitor your side and their real state to know what they are capable of on the day...any day you have to play

your opposition to..so you understand what's going on what you have and how to use it to win.

based on that I could see that the Saffies would be up against a wall no matter in this series.  they have a real fight on their hands.  that was obvious to me..but not to Smith, obviously.

Smith is an idiot..a mental scape that is produced by the white media that raise up white ability unduly and convinces themselves of superiority when there is no such thing

its not my fault so wat you blaming me for :-[

look here Mail.....I wrote an assessment for my daughters boyfriend on request, on the likely result of the Super Bowl #48

my assessment and the actual result were almost identical.  and he has been showing it around the place and I only found out on Tuesday night when my daughter told me.

I won money on that assessment..as I said it was almost perfect.

and what was the principle that underpinned it...the undue glorification of Peyton Manning..and the equal denigration of of the Seahawks and the kid Wilson.  they are still doing it despite results that should have taught them a whole lot better.

look here!  by 6 years old what a racehorse has done is what it is capable of.  if you want to know what it will do against opposition at that age..then check all its races to discover its best race and you are off and running

that horse 99% of the time cannot do better that that best race..if he can duplicate that race on that day, at 6 years old.  and in all likelihood he would need the same track, distance and race conditions, same rider, trainer and great form and fitness on that day etc., to have a chance to repeat that race

now if he is running against younger horses that have shown equal ability to that best race of the 6 year old.. chances are one of them will improve easily and beat that 6 year old on that day.

Peyton Manning is a known quantity.  all he is capable of is well known at least by me...but I suspect by most smart people who bet on these things.  Manning is not going to get better than what we have seen so far.  he can stand in the pocket and pick teams apart all day long if they let him.  he has a decent offensive line that protects him well.  his coaches make sure that they have the best offensive line they can find.

but if you are going up against a  defence llike Seattle's then all bets are off.  they did not have to sack him but pressure him all day long.  all day long a sack was nano seconds away from Peyton and he freaked.  look at his feet.  his feet were moving frantically all the time.  he knew that any moment the rush would descend and he had to get rid of the ball.

Manning has never been able to deal with stuff like that.  Seattle knew it!  I knew it and knew that Pete Carrol would know it and prepare for it.  Manning would be afflicted with happy feet by the Seattle defence..would never be able to set and throw the ball properly.

I dont think they were even trying to sack him. t hey might have killed him had they done that repeatedly.  that was not necessary.

then it was easy for Seattle to shut down the running game.  the rush would take care of that as well as screens.  it was easy also to shut down the passing game..again the rush and the corners would deal decisively with that.  so the only real weapon that Manning had was Wes Welker coming underneath and across.  so they put a couple of people to spy Welker.  he made some catches but only on one drive was he decisive.

and that was that.  but no one saw it that simply!  and it was that simple...simply that Denver was not a really good football team..just the best in the AFC.  Few saw that Seattle was the much better team, that Wilson  is a fine young QB capable of beating Manning..and that he would improve to do do exactly that on that day.

everyone got caught up in the Manning hype.  they spun and spun and spun until everyone got caught up with the white hero, who did not know it in all the noise that he was about to meet a Waterloo.

so you see man you have to keep your head on the ground or you get swept up in the hype.  I look for the hype all  the time and cut to the basics to see what really is going on.  and I often get a really good bet when I see the bullshiite.

that is what racism always does by raising the ordinary white people to the rafters, setting them up for big defeats..which they spin away as well, clearing the deck for many more of the same eventualities.  keep watching, understanding and betting..for fun and to keep your mind sharp

in cricket Graeme Smith is far from a great captain but the media spins away his nonsense, no doubt to keep him in place.  I don't care.  they can do what they want with SA cricket...it is still apartheid.  I will  care when apartheid is finally defeated but not now.

smith is an impse!

Horse Years are somewhat confusing .

Do You add on a year IF the horse born on say February 1st versus October 1st of a  Calendar year ?

thats an 8 month difference !

2 year old races .....are ALL the horses close to 24 months  old ?  :-\

just take it literally....

every January 1 a horse ages one year by the book for racing purposes.

in past performance details in the Daily Racing Form the horses real birth date is listed so you can calculate what it is exactly yourself.

any living entity has in it a quantity of whatever they are about..some greater than others.  you have to try to measure that ability and how it is used up over time..when it is at it's peak etc.  you can know therefore when it is spent, when there is more to go, which one has greater ability than the other etc., and a host of details that would make it do whatever on any given day

interesting and very profitable if you can really develop such skills.  it aint easy!

MAPPIPPEE,

I could only read teh first line.....too long brother.

No I do not think he made a mistake as the Aussies could have equally exploited the very helpful session 1 conditions. At 90 odd for 4 any Captain would be quite happy. His bowlers just did not see it through.

When  SA batted they were careless and did not play the swing well. That cannot be put down to the Captain as you would have expected conditions to favour the batting side in the second innings.

SA will now have to fight hard to save this game but the issue about the 4th innings is the deterioration of the pitch. That factor has not come into play.

wat are you talking about then...did I say something different..what is captaincy all about..how smart is Smith then ::confused::  so what did I arks Smith to do then::confused::  look here:

you cant tell these things can you Mail?  You don't think they are even important which is tears.  you dont even know how to deal with it, if you get lucky before a game and realise that yuh side is blase', feeling lousy, off kilter etc.

and the Oz right now are the opposite:  Sharp, cooking, on the ball, feeling fine, everything falling into place for them.

Smith is bline tuh rarse!

suppose you were a general Mail..you and Smith...and was fighting  a war and you not up on yuh details, details, details..even the smallest.  you will get a lot of people  killed fuh nutten.

the way the Saffies played it was better they batted first.  if they got blown away at least they did the right thing. and they would be in a position by then from a disaster,to
wake up, restrict the Oz and come very strong second time out, wipe out a deficit..and ketch the Oz on a last day pitch..struggling to save themselves facing 250 or so to win

anyhow the Saffie blase' seems to be very deep and the Oz first shud have woken them up.

yet Johnson at the moment is tears for any team.  it is hard to cope with that kind of bowling at any time and the Saffies have no Kallis in the middle

it was best to bat first. the only real chance they had
