Brathwaite won a place in the Under-19 squad for the World Cup in 2010 in New Zealand.
He was West Indies' leading run-scorer and overall second highest with 335 runs with four fifties.

* Shiv Chanderpaul(11,171*) needs 4 runs to move past Alan Border(11,174) and become the 6th highest scorer in test cricket.
* Shiv needs 6 runs to register his 29th test hundred.
* Shiv(989*) needs 11 more runs to reach 1000 versus NZ.
* Shiv(989*) needs 62 runs to surpass Gayle(1050) and become the WI's highest scorer in tests against NZ.

Brathwaite is a good foil at the top. One who would not wish to be too flamboyant.
