So by Christmas all 3 tests will be done---looks like we'll all have a busy December---hope the tests are longer than 3 days. ;D

soca:
* Shiv Chanderpaul and Steve Waugh are very similar type of cricketers---to use the phrase you lovingly coined---both are "Poke and Blockers." ;D
* Now, Steve Waugh in his final 18 tests---from 151 to 168----he scored 1296 runs at an average of 68.21 with 5 hundreds and 6 fifties.
* It is not inconceivable that Shiv could match Stave's performance----keep in mind Shiv has averaged 69+ in the past 7 years.
BOTTOM LINE:
Those who wish to see Shiv become the highest run scorer in West Indies history will remain optimistic that he will end his career on a high note. On the other hand, those who wish to see Lara remain as the highest scorer---they will wish Shiv ill luck.

The average New Zealand temperature decreases as you travel south.
December , January and February are the warmest months, July is the coldest month of the year.

I will not judge any player on this recent Indian series. it is a total waste of time..
there was no team ambient that encouraged good performance only failure. west indies are a declined team and such teams do not play better than west indies did here..beset by total internal failure..the failure that led to the decline in the first place
these players with the exception of Best and Sammy who should be anywhere near a west indies team..would do a lot better in a positive well led situation.
so Chanderpauls results is no thng at all. by rights he should not score at all..but he did score a bit which in the situation was very good indeed
